But how have we done it?
Reinventing the traditional road bike shape, we've subtly altered the tube shapes to deliver huge gains in stiffness and balance, all without compromising weight or durability.
Add to this a completely new lamination process that we have perfected over decades, and you get the lightest frame on the market (585 grams, S-Works, size 56cm).
The Aethos is more than just a new bike, it's the first in a new class.
A lightweight frame is useless without confidence-inspiring riding characteristics, which is why we've developed the Aethos to have the perfect balance of front and rear stiffness combined with exceptional ride quality.
By studying the flex and technique of carbon fiber, we were able to discover groundbreaking findings about how forces flow through frames.
Just a few pedal strokes and you'll realize that this sublime ride sets a new standard.
Every detail, from the gear dropouts to the fork expander, has been designed with style, weight and durability in mind.
We have also equipped the Aethos with Roval's new Alpinist carbon seatpost, which saves even more weight and improves riding characteristics.
