Technical Specifications
Well, that and more than 100 World Cup wins and podiums.
True to form, the latest Epic continues the tradition, leveraging the most efficient BRAIN suspension we’ve ever created to ensure it’s always tugged at speed.
Redesigned hand-in-hand with the new Epic, the latest BRAIN design redefines efficiency expectations, employing a new race-tuned pedaling platform to ensure every possible watt translates into forward motion, while easily absorbing momentum-killing vibrations and big hits alike, all more smoothly than ever before.
A change of picture
Epic’s new FACT 11m carbon frame, redesigned with a focus on efficient power transfer and safer handling performance, features a 15 percent stiffer rear triangle to take full advantage of the new BRAIN racing pedaling platform, while the new carbon composition of the front triangle reduces weight, further increasing the Epic’s stiffness-to-weight ratio.
- The Epic’s FACT 11m carbon frame, which offers 100 millimetres of brilliantly efficient travel controlled by BRAIN, increases the stiffness of the rear triangle for unrivalled power transfer and introduces the most capable handling in an Epic to date, all while reducing weight over the previous-generation Epic.
- RockShox’s SID SL benefits from the SID’s development on the World Cup circuit, providing a race-proven Rush RL shock with external low-speed compression, lockout and rebound settings.
SRAM’s Level TL brakes offer smooth modulation for precise speed control. - The tubeless-ready Specialized Alloy rims feature a modern internal width of 27 millimeters, allowing the tires to achieve their ideal profile and footprint for optimal traction.
