Like every shoe we make, the S-Works Torch Lace incorporates Body Geometry technology – identify a problem, solve it with design, validate it with science – to improve comfort, increase performance and reduce the chance of injury for every rider.
Comfort: The S-Works Torch Lace uses our new 4mm wider last than the S-Works 7, based on extensive 3D foot scans and Retül data. The upper features reallocated zonal overlays. It remains incredibly flexible to adapt to different foot shapes, but does not give or stretch during long rides to ensure a secure and consistent fit. The asymmetric heel reduces ankle contact points and provides knee stability validated by our Human Performance team.
Efficiency: Each Body Geometry shoe optimizes ankle, knee and hip alignment for a stable, pedalable ride with our patented Varus angle wedge, a 1.5mm outward slope of the sole. Thanks to lightweight lacing and attention to every gram, from the carbon outsole to the upper material, the S-Works Torch Lace weighs 200 grams in size 42. With an internal ‘I-Beam’, the carbon outsole provides the ideal stiffness-to-weight ratio for big efforts without adding excess grams, optimized by working with the world’s best riders.

• Based on data collected from Retul scans, the base of the sole is 4mm wider at toe height than the previous generation.
• By optimizing its construction, the new carbon plate is 20 grams lighter than the S-Works 7. An internal beam we call the “I-Beam” ensures the same stiffness as the previous edition.
• An updated last thanks to data collected with Retül to better adapt to the shape of cyclists’ feet, leaning more to the side to offer a snug, close fit to the foot.
