THE TRAIL BENCHMARK: When we set out to design the new Stumpjumper, we pursued some important goals.
I had to excel on any type of trail, for every style of rider.
To achieve this, we sought a significant weight reduction without sacrificing durability, a rigid and responsive chassis that still rides light and lively, a geometry that improves everyone’s ride and the best suspension kinematics we know how to design.
Turns out, you can keep your cake and eat it with the new Stumpjumper too.
THE SWEETEST 130MM OF TRAVEL YOU’VE EVER RIDDEN: We’ve improved the kinematics of the Stumpjumper suspension for the best overall performance possible in a 130mm package.
Countless hours of development in the suspension lab and field testing created a refined mid-travel ripper that devours large terrain like a gravity-fed beast, handles like a dream everywhere, and climbs like an engine.
PROGRESSIVE GEOMETRY: The S-Sizing geometry of the new Stumpjumper reaches the progressive sweet spot.
It’s long, low and relaxed, with a short offset fork and a steeper seat tube angle.
These numbers combine to make your ride more stable, more windy, more comfortable when climbing, and better everywhere.
With the FlipChip adjustability, you can further adjust your fit, ensuring that your new Stumpjumper performs flawlessly on any terrain you choose.
RIDER-FIRST ENGINEERED:™ Rider-First Engineered™ frames use a size-specific approach to riding characteristics that ensures benchmark handling and flawless performance, regardless of frame size or rider.
Whether you’re a happy kid riding an S1 or a giant DH fanatic who needs the long S6, you’ll experience the same ride characteristics (tight corners and balanced front and rear stiffness) in the lightest mode.
Possible weight, and by light we mean true weight: 2,250 grams (S-Works, size S-3, with rear shock absorber).
